Investigators with the Tampa Police Department are gathering information in a shooting.
An unidentified 22-year-old Hispanic male suffered a gunshot wound just before 7 p.m.
He was transported to a local hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
According to a TPD report officers were dispatched to the 8800 block of Crestview Dr. in response to a shots fired call. The victim and two witnesses were leaving the apartment of a friend when the incident occurred.
Investigators say a black male was observed running from the scene and into some nearby woods. He is described as being 5'7'' tall with a heavy build and medium complexion.
He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt and blue jeans.
