Body found at recycling center

A body was found at a Long Island recycling company on Thursday morning.

Suffolk County police say the man's body was found at Eastern Resources Recycling on Old Dock road in Yaphank.

Employees found the body among refuse at 6:55 a.m. The refuse had just been dumped by a garbage truck.

The body is an adult man but has not been positively identified. The Suffolk County Medical Examiner's Office will perform an autopsy.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. Police say that all calls will be kept confidential.
