In one of the more contentious races Tuesday night, Ronda Storms came out on top over Rob Turner in the race for property appraiser in Hillsborough County.
Storms, who won by a wide majority, said she was happy with the victory.
"I was offering integrity and professional responsibility and accountability, and so I'm very grateful to them, to the voters, for recognizing that and agreeing to vote for me," Storms said.
The race garnered attention when current property appraiser, Turner, admitted to sending sexually charged e-mails and images to a former employee he once dated.
He then fired her, claiming she made false claims to the EOC.
Storms is returning to local politics after serving as state senator. She will face Democrat Bob Henriquez in November's general election.
