BRADENTON (FOX 13) -

A convicted felon released from state prison a year ago is being sought by deputies with the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Sean Sanders allegedly stole $60, a wallet and a debit card from a Bradenton man on Saturday.

According to a MCSO report the suspect was invited into the home of Joseph Ryder just after 2 p.m. The 53-year-old man, who is confined to a bed or chair, fell asleep and woke up with Sanders on top of him.

The incident occurred in the 700 block of 60th Ave. Terrace West.

Sanders, 35, fled the scene on a bicycle. Several MCSO units were dispatched to the location but were unable to locate the suspect.

Ryder told investigators that Sanders knows his personal identification number for his debit card.

The suspect is no stranger to law enforcement in the area. Sanders - who uses the aliases Batman and Scarecrow according to his Florida Department of Corrections rap sheet - has served three stints in the state prison system.

Most of his prior arrests are burglary related.

If you have any information on Sanders whereabouts please contact the Manatee County Sheriff's Office at 941-747-3011.
