A beautiful art display along Pier 60 on Clearwater Beach is up just in time for the Republican National Convention.
Thirty-eights hand painted fiberglass dolphins now line the pier. The city teamed up with the Clearwater Marine Aquarium to make the project possible.
They hope the popularity of Winter the dolphin will help draw people to the installation during the upcoming convention.
"It's a great opportunity for us to educate the public about being good environmental stewards and respecting oceans and the gulf that these beautiful creatures live in," Linda O'Riley of the Clearwater Marine Aquarium said.
The dolphins will be on display through Sept. 4. After that, some will go on display at private businesses, while others will be auctioned off.
Proceeds will go to help protect and conserve wildlife.
