RNC speakers are talk of the town

TAMPA (FOX 13) -

It's expected to be another busy day at the Tampa Bay Times Forum, with Republican National Convention officials set to discuss progress on preparations.

They'll also discuss what still needs to be done over the next 20 days. But the talk, literally, might be about speakers for the convention.

Here's some of headliners announced Monday: Florida Gov. Rick Scott, Arizona Sen. John McCain, former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee, South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and former Secretary of State Condolezza Rice.

This is still a preliminary list. The keynote speaker and the rest of the speakers will be named as we approach the convention. And that includes Romney's vice president pick, who will also have a speaking role.

Romney says he may just wait until the convention to announce it.

On Monday, members of the media will get an updated tour of the Forum, and it will be the first time many will see the inside of the building since preparations began.

Crews have been working on re-wiring the place, lighting and creating room for the massive stage. There's an average of 200 to 300 workers on any given day.
