BRANDON (FOX 13) -
A 21-year-old Brandon man was seriously injured early Sunday when he lost control of his motorcycle on State Road 60.
Tomas V. Vargas was transported to Tampa General Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report Vargas was heading west on his 2006 Suzuki near Valrico Rd. just before 2 a.m. when he left the roadway.
The bike overturned and Vargas was ejected.
The vehicle slid along the west shoulder of the roadway and came to a stop at the base of a concrete light pole.
Vargas was not wearing a helmet the report states.
The investigation continues.
