PORT RICHEY (FOX 13) -

Detectives in Pasco County have identified and arrested an Oldsmar teenager in connection with a stabbing that occurred last month in Port Richey.

The 17-year-old male was booked into the Juvenile Assessment Center in Land O'Lakes late Friday night.

He is facing one count of attempted murder.

Investigators say the July 8th incident left a pair of teenagers injured. The suspect allegedly stabbed Ryan Leavitt, 17, and Joshua Febus, 18, several times each following an argument at a gathering at a residence in the 7400 block of Fairfax Dr.

The injured teenagers are still recovering from their injuries.

According to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report Detective Michael Rosa believes the suspect fled to Georgia immediately after the assault.

On Friday Detective Rosa received information that the teen was back in Pasco County and was hanging out at the Gulf View Square Mall in Port Richey.

That is where the suspect was detained and taken into custody. Additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues.
