Morgan Martin is four months pregnant. The 17-year-old had just found out she was having a baby girl and couldn't wait to share the news with the baby's father.
It would be the last her family would see her, says her mother Leah Martin.
"She went outside. He was here, and we never seen her again. Never heard from her. No phone coming in or out of her phone, nothing," said Martin.
St. Pete police aren't sure who Morgan left with late Tuesday night. But no one has seen or heard from her since she walked out of her St. Pete home wearing pajamas and slippers.
She had her cell phone with her, but her other belongings, including her purse and ID were left behind.
The man that Morgan says is the father has been interviewed by police.
Leah's mom says her daughter was constantly reaching out to him to try to establish a relationship -- something Leah's mom discouraged.
"I don't know, I just told her to quit bothering with it," said Martin.
On Friday, police got DNA samples from Leah and other family members. Investigators plan to return to Morgan's home to collect more evidence.
So far, they have not found any evidence of foul play. Yet, every day that passes without her, this anxious mom loses a little more hope.
"I just assume the worst because there's been no contact and she is a family-oriented person," added Martin.
