TARPON SPRINGS (FOX 13) -
Detectives say a 48-year-old Tarpon Springs man was found shot to death Tuesday morning on Safford Avenue.
The body of Luther T. Shaw was found around 7 a.m. on the ground outside a 1999 Ford Expedition, which was sitting in the southbound lanes.
Detectives said Shaw had been shot dead. And earlier officers received calls of shots in the area of 711 S. Safford Ave. around 6:40 a.m.
When police found Shaw, they say the door of the Expedition had been opened.
Police did not release any information on a possible suspect.
