Citrus Springs man dies following domestic dispute
Investigators say Staton, 56, suffered multiple stab wounds and was transported to Tampa General Hospital.
CITRUS SPRINGS (FOX 13) -
A domestic argument turned deadly Sunday afternoon in Citrus Springs.
When it ended just after 4 p.m. one man was dead and another in the hospital.
Harold Gene Brown, 69, suffered multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. Michael Staton, the deceased man's 56-year-old stepson, was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital with similar injuries.
His condition is not known.
According to a Citrus County Sheriff's Office report deputies were dispatched to 2250 West Summer Place in Citrus Springs in response to a domestic disturbance call.
There was one other person in the home at the time of the incident. A woman identified as Brown's wife and Staton's biological mother.
Investigators say she was not hurt.
What led up to the altercation is not yet known as the investigation continues. Brown's body was transported to the Medical Examiner's Office in Leesburg to determine the official cause of death.
CCSO Detectives and crime scene technicians spent several hours at the scene of the crime gathering information. So far no charges have been filed.
