Authorities in Polk County are asking for the public's assistance in tracking down a bank robbery suspect.
The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. Friday at the Bank of America location at 2301 South Florida Ave. in Lakeland.
According to a Lakeland Police Department report an unidentified black male made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No injuries were reported and no weapon was seen.
Investigators say the suspect stuff money into a plastic grocery bag before fleeing.
The man stands between 6'1'' and 6'5'' tall and has a muscular to heavy build. He was last seen wearing a long sleeve athletic shirt, dark shorts with a light stripe, a blue hat and glasses.
The suspect was clean shaven witnesses say.
