HOLIDAY (FOX 13) -
A toddler reported missing Tuesday night was found dead in a pond near his Pasco County home, the sheriff's office said.
According to a Pasco sheriff's spokesman, dispatchers got a call around 6 p.m. that Trent Sailers wandered away from his home at the 1600 block of Paragon Place. They say he hadn't been seen since 3 p.m.
Preliminary reports from the scene indicate that a mother fell asleep inside the home, and the child was able to get out and wander away.
A sheriff's spokesman says a volunteer got onto a paddleboard to search a nearby pond, and located the boy.
At this point, it's unclear if the mother will face any charges.
