TAMPA (FOX 13) -

It was just a week ago that the RNC officially moved into the Tampa Bay Times Forum.

Now we are getting our first look at the stage where Governor Mitt Romney will accept the Republican nomination during the convention next month.

Crews removed about 3,000 seats from the forum to make room for the thousands of Republican supporters who fill the forum come convention time. To the right and left of the stage will be seating for some members of the press.

And of course, the RNC delegates will have their usual space, on the convention floor.

A crew of about 300 are working around the clock to get it done.

"Two hundred thousand pounds of equipment, that's lighting equipment, sound equipment, cabling and power equipment, and it will all be supported by the infrastructure here at the facility," said Phil Alongi, with RNC operations.

Luxury suites are being converted into broadcast booths, from where images of the convention will be beamed abound the world.

And recently, a new acoustics system was installed to makes sure every speech, every tribute is heard loud and clear around the world.
