TAMPA (FOX 13) -

A 27-year-old Tampa man who allegedly took his seven-week-old son from its mother on Saturday afternoon has been arrested on a variety of charges.

Reginald Denard Levison was taken into custody by Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies just after 10 PM Saturday.

He was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail early Sunday morning. Levison is being held without bond; he was apprehended in the 1900 block of West Sligh Ave. according to his arrest report

Levison is charged with one count of domestic battery by strangulation, one count of false imprisonment, one count of grand theft auto, one count of interference with custody and one count of marijuana possession.

HCSO issued an Amber Alert Saturday afternoon for Jaelin Levison after the infant's mother contacted authorities just before 1 PM. Teah Coward told investigators that the suspect engaged her in a physical altercation and took off with their child.

Levison allegedly fled the scene in Coward's 2007 Sebring.

At approximately 8:30 PM HCSO rescinded the Amber Alert saying the suspect had dropped the baby off with his sister who turned the child over to deputies.

Jaelin was reunited with his mother in good condition.
