OLDSMAR (FOX 13) -

The source of a water pressure problem in the City of Oldsmar has been located.

The discovery was made just after noon in the vicinity of 580 Corporate Center just north of Tampa Rd.

Crews with Oldsmar's Public Works Department began repairing the problem immediately. Just before 9 PM water service was fully restored to all customers.

As a precaution all should continue to heat the water to a rolling boil for approximately one minute before drinking or cooking. Water customers with any questions are asked to call 813-749-1100.

A longtime Oldsmar resident who was riding his dirt bike in the area found the damaged pipe in a canal next to a business park.

The City activated their Emergency Operation Center early Saturday when multiple water pressure problems were reported.

The outage affected over 13,000 Oldsmar residents as well as businesses in the community.

City officials utilized water tankers and opened two water supply stations for residents in need.
