TAMPA (FOX 13) -
A man who jumped off the Howard Frankland Bridge and died today has ties to a Hernando County crime scene.
Hernando deputies were called to a home in Spring Hill this morning. No one could be found, but there were signs the resident was badly injured and deputies began looking for him.
Around 1 this afternoon, FHP found the man's car on the Howard Frankland Bridge, where witnesses say he had jumped off.
The jumper's body was recovered and a medical examiner will determine the exact cause of death.
Officials are not releasing the man's identity at this time.
