The body of a Bay area soldier killed in Afghanistan will arrive at MacDill Air Force Base on Tuesday.

Staff Sgt. Ricardo Seija of Tampa, who was among six soldiers killed by an improvised explosive device July 8, will be honored with a ceremony and an honor escort.

MacDill will conduct a ceremony on the tarmac in front of friends and family, and then local law enforcement will escort his body to a funeral home.

Seija graduated from Leto High.

On Wednesday, the same ceremony is planned for Spc. Clarence Williams III of Brooksville, who was also killed in the same attack.

Williams graduated from Hernando High.
