Authorities in Pinellas County are asking for the public's assistance in locating the driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal hit and run crash early Sunday morning in Seminole.
An unidentified man was transported to a local hospital where he later died. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The deceased was struck by two vehicles; the second driver stopped to render assistance.
According to a Pinellas County Sheriff's Office report the victim was crossing Park Blvd. just east of 110th Lane at approximately 1 AM when he was hit.
Investigators say the man did not cross at the intersection and did not utilize the crosswalk.
The first vehicle that hit him was a dark-colored, possibly gray, sedan. A witness reported that it fled west on Park.
While the victim was still in the roadway he was struck by a second vehicle – a silver Honda Civic. The driver stopped, called for help and cooperated with authorities.
The first vehicle has possible damage to the front passenger side and the headlight on that side was not working. The sedan is a late 1990s or early 2000s model of an unknown make.
The driver is described as a white male, late 20s or early 30s. He had dark, short hair and was last seen wearing a horizontally striped polo-style shirt with a collar and blue jeans.
If you have any information about this case please contact Corporal Keith Williams with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office at 727-582-6200.
