HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY

Tampa:

Channelside: 4th of July Fireworks at Channelside, Wednesday, July 4 at 9 p.m. Price: Free.

Fireworks display, live music, and family fun. Live entertainment starting at 12:00 p.m. Children's activities all day; fireworks launch at 9:00 p.m. Festivities can be seen from: Channelside Bay Plaza, Florida Aquarium, Yacht Starship CHANNELSIDE, the Channel District CRA.

Channelside: the SS American Victory ship will have a family fun fest from 6 to 10 p.m. including crafts, games, contests, scavenger hunts, prizes, food, beer tent, dragon boat races and fireworks from the best seats in Channelside.

The price is $12, $7 children, $20 paddlers. Plan early, last year they sold out.

Florida Aquarium:

Watch fireworks from the Florida Aquarium's Bay Spirit II. They will have a cash bar, complimentary champagne toast and light hors d'oeuvres. Price is $60, or $55 for members. More info: Call (813) 273-4000.

Busch Gardens:

Stay for an explosive encore as Busch Gardens lights up the sky every night this summer. At Summer Nights, Cheetah Hunt after dark gives the graceful predator a new twist, and Kinetix returns for a rock-fueled blast of music and acrobatics every night on the Gwazi Park stage.

NEW: End your Summer Nights evening with an amazing fireworks finale every night, right after Kinetix. We will have a special extended fireworks finale on July 2, 3 & 4.

Also, be sure to check out our new show, "Let's Get Loud," a contemporary music and dance extravaganza, featuring music and dance infused with Hispanic heat.

Summer Nights runs from June 9 through August 12, 2012.

A 2012 Fun Card lets you experience all the pops and zings of fireworks again and again during Summer Nights.

In addition to Summer Nights special nighttime shows, an extended set of fireworks will blast off starting with a special pre-show at 9:30 p.m.

Harbour Island:

Jackson's Bistro will be celebrating 4th of July early starting at 10pm. Dance to music like Miami House music on the terrace by DJ Tony Puccio, Latin World Beats in the club room by DJ's Fuentez and Armando, top 40 in the Bistro Bar by DJ Sharrif and a special appearance by DJ Paul Sparkes.

Lutz:

Independence Day celebration and parade held in Downtown Lutz at the Train Depot.

July 4th, 10 am A parade begins at 10am and includes fire trucks, military vehicles, scout troops, belly dancers, and martial arts groups. There will be an ongoing cake decorating contest.

Temple Terrace:

Greco Middle School: A community parade will take place starting at 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. The parade includes marching bands, scout troops, floats, fire trucks, police cars, tow trucks, vintage cars and beads. For more info, call (813) 989-7004.

Temple Terrace Golf and Country Club: festivities leading up to a fireworks show starting at 7 until 9. Live music and carnival-style food. At 9:15, a fireworks show will take place. Address is 200 Inverness Avenue.

Brandon:

Brandon Blast: Fourth of July, Wednesday, July 4 at 5 p.m., Brandon Westfield Town Center Mall

459 Brandon Town Center, Brandon FL 33511. The restaurant courtyard will be filled with live music, family entertainment and dining opportunities. Everyone can register to win a $1,000 shopping spree. The day ends with a fireworks show. Price: Free. More info: (813) 661-5100.

Plant City:

July 4th Celebration, Wednesday, July 4 at 6 p.m. Plant City Stadium, 1810 East Park Road. Price: Free. Music & festivities begin at 6 p.m., Grand Fireworks Finale at 9:15 p.m.

PINELLAS COUNTY:

Treasure Island:

Rockin' Red Glare: Fourth of July, Wednesday, July 4 at 9 p.m. at the Bilmar Beach Resort

10650 Gulf Blvd., Treasure Island FL 33706. Come out to the beach and join Treasure Island's salute to the holiday with a giant fireworks extravaganza. Price: Free.

Safety Harbor:

Bayshore Boulevard: Enjoy a fun-filled evening at the City Marina and back lawn of Safety Harbor Resort and Spa from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Live music from the Spark Plugs, Roy Sutes Band, and Double Time; plus games and activities; food and beverages will be available for purchase, including beer and wine. Fireworks will begin right after the National Anthem at 9 p.m.

Main Street: Enjoy a parade where kids can decorate their bicycles and wagons and join a parade that includes military vehicles, honor guards, fire trucks, Shriners, motorcycle and car clubs, Dunedin Pipe and Drum band, and other floats.  Starts at 10 a.m. Phone:(727) 726-9601 Main Street and Second Ave. N, Safety Harbor FL 34695.

Tarpon Springs:

Craig Park : Patriotic Picnic on Wednesday, July 4th, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Enjoy a picnic with free hot dogs and drinks, plus entertainment in the band shell.  For information 727-942-5628.

St. Petersburg:

North Straub Park, Fifth Avenue N.E. and Bayshore Drive, St. Petersburg. See what a team of world-renowned artists can do with a 40-ton pile of sand dumped near the Plaza of North Straub Park at this Transitions Sight 'n Sand Family Event. Team Sandtastic begins building a patriotic-themed sand sculpture soon after the noon sand delivery on July 2 and must be finished by July 4. A smaller tabletop sand sculpture contest also begins at 8 a.m. July 3 with judging on July 4.

The Pier, 800 Second Ave. NE Wednesday, July 4th, the Pier will have entertainment and festivities from 1 p.m.  11 p.m. Live music includes Daniel B. Marshall Band, Save the Radio, and Fast Lane. Entertainment from Juggler Bob, the Fritzy Bros One Man Circus, a caricature artist, body/face painter, a magician, and a hypnotist. Also contestants for this year's Miss Florida competition. At 9 p.m., fireworks are scheduled to light up the waterfront. Depending on the weather conditions, they could begin as early as 8:30 p.m. or as late as 10 p.m.

St. Pete Beach:

Fourth of July Fireworks, Wednesday, July 4 at 8 p.m. Dolphin Village Shopping Center, 4700 Gulf Blvd., St. Pete Beach FL 33706. City officials say the 30-minute display set from a barge floating in the Gulf can be viewed from the City's beaches to the South. All of County Park will be closed to the public prior to the display. Fireworks begin at dusk. Price: Free. More info: (727) 367-2735.

The Pier Dolphin Cruise will have a special 4th of July trip to see the fireworks from the water!

7-10pm for $35.00 per person, plus tax. (First drink is FREE!) Make your reservations early.

Madeira Beach:

Clearwater:

Coachman Park: annual Independence Day celebration starting at 4 p.m. Includes live music from Mostly Pops Orchestra, children's activities, craft show, food and drink concessions. Fireworks show begins at 9:30 p.m. Address: 301 Drew St., Clearwater, FL 33756.

Largo:

Largo Fourth of July Celebration, Wednesday, July 4 at 6 p.m. at Largo Central Park, 101 Central Park Drive, Largo FL 33771. Largo gets set to "Light Up the Park" with this Independence Day celebration, including music by DJ Phil Pasek, activities, food vendors and fireworks. Price: Free (limited $5 parking available). Redington Shore:

The annual parade will begin at 9:00 a.m. at Addie Graham and end at Radcliffe Park where hot dogs, snow cones and cupcakes will be enjoyed by all. Dress up your bicycles, scooters, motorcycles, cars or just yourself and come celebrate the birthday of our great nation with your neighbors and friends.

Gulfport:

City of Gulfport July 4th Hometown Celebration, Wednesday, July 4, all day. Events begin as early as 8 a.m. and continue throughout the day and evening (see schedule below), ending with a fireworks display at 9 p.m. Price: Free. Location: Events take place at various locations around the City of Gulfport

SARASOTA COUNTY:

Sarasota

Fireworks Spectacular Over Sarasota Bay, Wednesday, July 4 at 9 p.m. Price: viewing is free

Fireworks are visible from anywhere downtown, including Bayfront and Island Parks. Part of the Suncoast Super Boat Grand Prix, the event is charity-based, and donation drop points are located at Marina Jack, 2 Marina Plaza, Sarasota. More info: 941-371-8820, Ext. 1800; suncoastoffshore.org

Catch fireworks at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, 811 S. Palm Ave., Sarasota, Wednesday, July 4 at 6 p.m. Price: Admission is $17 for members, $20 for non-members, and free for children ages 11 and younger. Siesta Key:

North Port:

PASCO COUNTY

Dade City

Pasco County Fairgrounds: A celebration beginning at 4 p.m. with face-painting, pony rides, petting zoo, bounce house, carnival games, live animal shows, watermelon, hotdog and apple-pie eating contests, live music and entertainment. Fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m. $3 admission, children 10 & under are free. Parking is $5.

(Note: the City of Port Richey canceled their fireworks scheduled for July 4th.  New Port Richey held their event on Saturday, June 30th.)

CHARLOTTE COUNTY:

Punta Gorda

Fisherman's Village Center Stage: Enjoy festivities from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Starting with the  annual Freedom Swim across Charlotte Harbor, Sounds of the Virgin Islands band, and fireworks display over Charlotte Harbor. More info: (941) 639-8721.
