ST. PETE BEACH (FOX 13) -
A 7-year-old boy drowned in the waters off St. Petersburg Beach.
He was there with his mom, and witnesses say his body was
floating in the water. A beachgoer did CPR, but it was too late.
This comes just four days after a 41-year-old Alabama woman drowned in
the same area.
Six other people were rescued from the water in that
incident. They were caught in strong rip currents created by Tropical Storm
Debby.
Officials cautioned anyone heading out to the beach to be careful.
The boy has not been identified, and police are still trying
to gather more details Monday.
