Flooding shuts down Pasco sewer systems

Posted: Updated:

Some sewage systems in Pasco County have gone offline thanks to flooding from Tropical Storm Debby.

As a result, sewage may get into floodwaters in certain neighborhoods, and authorities are warning residents to avoid the water.

The following FGUA Seven Springs communities are affected:

  • Millpond Estates
  • Millpond Lakes
  • Northern Portions of Thousand Oaks
  • Portions of Park Lake Estates
  • Portions of Woodtrail Village
  • Portions of Cypress Lakes

Flooding and lack of power have shut down lift stations in these neighborhoods. Authorities say wastewater could mix with floodwaters, and they are urging residents to avoid contact with it.

Customers with questions or concerns about the status of lift stations should call the FGUA Pasco Customer Service Office at 727-372-0115, or click here for more information:
