Thousands of people across the Bay area are without power thanks to Tropical Storm Debby, and the worst of it may not be over yet.
Progress Energy has crews coming in from around the country to restore power to 15,000 customers.
More than 8,000 people in Pinellas have no power; more than 1,000 are without power in Pasco County.
Tampa Electric Company is working to get power back on for around 1,500 people. TECO says power should be restored by Tuesday night.
A Progress Energy spokesman said some areas could be without power for several days, and more outages are expected.
"Because of the slow moving nature of this storm, it's been sitting out in the Gulf for quite a while, and different bands keep rolling in, we anticipate multiple outages across our entire service area through the duration," said Rob Sumner, spokesman for Progress Energy.
