Police in Haines
City are investigating a
fatal crash on Highway 27 North.
It happened Monday night at Old Polk City Road. There were five
vehicles involved, including three semi tractor trailers and two passenger
vehicles, police said.
Frank Everette Reid, who was in one of the passenger vehicles,
was killed in the crash.
Investigators say at this point it appears one of the
tractor trailers failed to stop at a light and rear ended the Jeep Wrangler
that Reid was in, prompting the pileup.
