A 22-year-old man was killed Thursday morning in a fiery crash along Sligh Avenue.
It happened between North Florida and North Boulevard, and police said speed was a factor in the crash.
Nasdiel Viera-Curbelo was killed in the crash. He was the driver and the only on in the vehicle.
A witness at the scene, located at 304 West Sligh, said the car hit a wall and burst into flames. The witness also said neighbors rushed to the car to try and put it out with hoses.
But the car was still on fire when firefighters arrived to put it out.
Sligh Avenue was closed down all Thursday morning, but it has since been reopened.
