Two men accused of murder have made another appearance before a judge this morning. But this time, Jonathan Ray Rodriguez and Kenneth Edward Felipe Jr. were back in Sebring.
The two are accused of attacking Aaron Doty at a party on Saturday night. He was brutally beaten, set on fire, and dumped in the woods.
Rodriguez, 22, and Felipe, 19, were arrested by U.S. marshals in Orlando earlier this week. They each face second-degree murder charges.
This morning, a judge denied bond for both of them as Doty's friends and family looked on quietly.
Meanwhile, Highlands County Sheriff Susan Benton spoke about how the crime has affected the entire community.
"Well, it's almost incomprehensible that people who know each other could go from a fight -- not even a fight, just a dead-out punch in the face -- to after that, a continued, long beating, to the point where someone dies," she offered.
The sheriff also said they're still investigating and that they expect to make more arrests.
"I'm aware of at least two very imminent arrests coming, and there will probably potentially even be some more," she added.
Doty's funeral is scheduled for Saturday, with a candlelight vigil to follow in the evening.
