Deputies say a New Port Richey woman got so mad at another driver that she repeatedly rammed the victim's car and even tried to push it into traffic.
It all started, investigators say, when the Dodge station wagon pulled in front of Bonnie Barkus's Saturn wagon on Tampa Road. Barkus , 31, allegedly responded by running into the Dodge's rear bumper and continuing to do so as the vehicles headed westbound.
When both stopped for a red light at East Lake Road, deputies say Coleman used her vehicle to try and push the Dodge into the intersection, forcing the driver to speed through the red light to try and get away.
But the 29-year-old driver apparently could not shake her pursuer. When the cars stopped at Mayfair Place in Palm Harbor, deputies say Coleman got out and began punching, kicking and pulling the younger woman's hair.
Coleman also allegedly punched a 45-year-old witness in the eye when the woman tried to come to the aid of the Dodge driver.
Both victims were hospitalized with minor injuries.
Coleman, meanwhile, was arrested for aggravated battery, aggravated assault with a motor vehicle, and simple battery. Deputies say she was "agitated and uncooperative" during her arrest.
Editor's note: a previous version of this story referred to the suspect at Bonnie Coleman. Investigators have since said her correct name is Bonnie Barkus.
