
An unidentified armed suspect was shot and killed Sunday morning by a business owner in New Port Richey.
The incident occurred just after 9:30 AM at Justice Coins, a business located in a strip mall in the 10000 block of State Road 52.
The business owner, whose name has not been released, was stabbed by the deceased during a scuffle. His injuries are not life threatening.
According to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report deputies were dispatched to the scene in response to a shots fired call. Investigators say the suspect attempted to rob the business, an altercation ensued and shots were fired.
The deceased was transported to a local hospital where he died.
The investigation continues.
