BRADENTON (FOX 13) -

Deputies in Manatee County are looking for a convicted felon who allegedly beat and robbed a man Saturday afternoon in Bradenton.

Stephen R. Rotolo, 31, fled the scene shortly after the 4:30 PM incident and is being sought on battery charges.

The victim – Christopher McDuffie – was transported to Blake Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

According to a Manatee County Sheriff's Office report the pair became involved in an argument in the 500 block of 64th Ave. West. Rotolo ‘sucker punched' McDuffie and continued to kick and punch him as he fell to the ground.

The suspect took the victim's cell phone and cigarettes and fled the area on foot. A warrant was issued for Rotolo's arrest.

He is no stranger to law enforcement with an arrest record that includes charges out of Manatee, Sarasota and Charlotte counties.

If you have any information on Rotolo's whereabouts please contact the Manatee County Sheriff's Office at 941-747-3011.
