LARGO (FOX 13) -

Detectives with the Largo Police Department are asking for the public's help in locating a bank robbery suspect.

The armed man struck at the PNC Bank in the 2600 block of Roosevelt Blvd. just after 1 PM Friday afternoon.

According to a Largo Police Department report the suspect is a white male who stands between 5'8'' and 5'9'' tall. He has a thin build and short, medium-colored brown hair.

Witnesses say he was wearing a dark blue long sleeved shirt with an aqua colored undershirt. The man was also wearing a dark baseball cap with embroidery and metal studs on it.

After he entered the bank he brandished a small, chrome-colored semi-automatic handgun and demanded cash. The clerks complied and the suspect fled the bank on foot heading north on Dodge St.

At the time of the crime the man was wearing sneakers, black latex gloves, black sunglasses, a black pack-pack and a black piece of cloth – similar to a sports ‘Buff' – over his face.

If you have any information about this case please contact Detective Jill Freire with the Largo Police Department at 727-586-7437.
