The Orlando Sentinel is reporting George Zimmerman's old cell phone was given to an Orlando area man in May.
The number —407-435-2400 — wasthe one Zimmerman spelled out to a police dispatcher in a recorded call the night the neighborhood watch volunteer fatally shot Trayvon Martin. The number had been widely circulated by media and is available on the Internet.
The man told the newspaper that he immediately began to receive threatening calls after the T-Mobile number was activated.
A spokesperson with T-Mobile told the Sentinel that the number has since been retired.
