Salon styles hair with safari-themed patterns

Posted: Updated:

Want to let your inner animal out? Then you might want to consider a wilder hair style. I mean really wild.

Sara Kroha has come up with some beastly creations at Split Ends Hair and Nail Salon on U.S. 98 North in Lakeland.

She can put a put a cheetah, leopard, or zebra pattern into your mundane mane.

Kroha takes some of the color out of your hair, then hand paints the pattern. It takes an hour and a half. Prices start at $35 and go up.

Clients between 6 and 67 years old have bitten on the idea.

"But I get a lot more clients who are still in high school," Kroha told FOX 13 on Thursday.

It is especially popular with teen girls, but some free spirited guys are going for it too.

"I've got friends who are into punk rock, and that's what everyone is going for," Sean Burnett told us, as a stylist was cutting his hair.

If you're thinking about possibly taking a walk on the wild side, you can find examples on Sara's Facebook page.
