Three suspects were arraigned Sunday in the carjacking and robbery of Pastor Marvin Winans. The attack at a Detroit gas station in the middle of the day made national headlines. The pastor also returned to church Sunday and talked about his ordeal.

Montoya Givens, 20, of Detroit, 20-year-old Christopher Moorehead of Detroit and 18-year-old Brian Young of Clinton Township were all arraigned in Detroit's 36th District Court. They face charges connected to the carjacking and robbery on the 13000 block of Linwood in Detroit.

They're accused of assaulting Rev. Winans during the carjacking, and stealing his cash and credit cards. They also took his cell phone, expensive watch and vehicle.

He was treated and released at a nearby hospital. All three suspects face up to life in prison if convicted.

Prosecutor Kym Worthy said, " I am buoyed by the fact that this case was well investigated by the police and that we were able to charge this case quickly. However, with the proper resources this could be done in all cases."

"I respect Chief Godbee greatly, but crime is not down or even the same as it was at this time last year. It is only the reporting of crime that is down," she added.

Reverend Winans held a press conference at the Perfecting Church on Nevada prior to the arraignment to talk about the ordeal.
