The Tampa Police Department released an affidavit that spells out in more detail what officers found last Friday when they went to 50-year-old Julie Schenecker's house to do a welfare check.
Schenecker is accused of shooting and killing her two teenage children.
The affidavit says officers responded to the home to check on a woman who was possibly suicidal. When they got there, it says they found Julie Schenecker unconscious in the screened-in pool area in the back of the home.
Officers took her inside and noticed dried blood on her white robe.
One officer went upstairs to check on the children. According to the affidavit, the officer found 16-year-old Caylx Schenecker in her bedroom, deceased.
Another officer found 13-year-old Beau Schenecker inside a van in the garage, also deceased.
The search affidavit also lists about two dozen items seized from the home. Among the items are a Smith & Wesson box, five bullets, a Smith & Wesson instruction manual, 15 live bullets, and five spent shell casings.
"Medication" is listed three times: two in the master bedroom, and one in the master bathroom. The affidavit does not say what the medications were.
It also says investigators seized the van where the boy's body was found.
Julie Schenecker is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, and is being held without bond in the Hillsborough County Jail.
