Sumter County: Hurricane preparation information

    SHELTER LOCATIONS
    Sumter County has a number of emergency shelters, but they may not all be open during any given storm.  Study them ahead of time, but listen to FOX 13 during a storm to find which shelters are open.

    SPECIAL NEEDS SHELTERS & REGISTRATION
    If you are a resident with special needs and will need county assistance with your evacuation, please register ahead of time.  You can do that by calling (352) 569-6000 and requesting an application to fill out.

    EVACUATION ZONES
    Sumter County has no evacuation zones.
