SHELTER LOCATIONS
Sarasota County has a number of emergency shelters, but they may not all be open during any given storm. Study them ahead of time, but listen to FOX 13 during a storm to find which shelters are open.

SPECIAL NEEDS SHELTERS & REGISTRATION
A registry of people with special needs is maintained by Sarasota County Emergency Management. If you are unable to respond independently to an emergency situation and have no other means of assistance, should you be required to evacuate your home, then you should register in advance by calling 941-861-5000.
