GAINESVILLE - Quarterback John Brantley and center Mike Pouncey are spending extra time together this week.
After reviewing every errant snap in Florida's season opener Sunday, they headed to the practice field to work on those all-important exchanges.
The result? Brantley says they had "no issues"
The fourth-ranked Gators are counting on a similarly smooth performance Saturday against South Florida. Coach Urban Meyer says ball security, including more precise shotgun snaps, is his primary concern after last weekend's 34-12 victory against Miami (Ohio).
Including three errant snaps, Florida had eight balls on the ground against the RedHawks.
Meyer says, "It wasn't a beauty pageant. If it was, we would have lost." He also calls it "a mess."
