Donovan denies he is moving to Kentucky

GAINESVILLE - Florida Gators basketball coach Billy Donovan shoots down a report that he will be the Kentucky Wildcats new head coach.

Published reports out of Orlando cited a source close to the Kentucky program who said that Donovan was about to resign from Florida to take the Kentucky job.

Shortly after hearing about the report Donovan had a quick denial.

"In response to the rumors circulating about my interest in other jobs, I wanted to address this as quickly as possible," Donovan said in a statement. "I am committed to the University of Florida and look forward to continuing to build our program here."

Rumors surfaced about Donovan after Kentucky fired their head coach Billy Gillispie on Friday.

This is the second time in the last two year that Donovan has been linked to Kentucky. He was courted by the school after leading the Gators to back to back titles in 2006 and 2007. Donovan turned down their substantial offer.
