Water polo team making waves

ST. PETERSBURG - The Florida High School Water Polo State Championships are coming up this month in Orlando.

You can count on "not" seeing a team from Tampa Bay in the tourney. It's not because there's a lack of talent in the poll. It's because there's no talent in the pool. There are 60 teams competing in high school in South Florida and another 40 from the Orlando area, but right now in Tampa Bay not one high school offers water polo.

A St. Petersburg club team, the Tampa Bay Thunder are making it their mission to change that.
