Amber Alert canceled; child is okay

WILDWOOD - UPDATE 5:50 p.m.: The Amber Alert has been canceled. Karmen and Chance Barfield were found in a house in Orange County. The girl is okay; the man is in custody.

Authorities have issued an Amber Alert for Karmen Barfield, a 6-year-old girl missing from Sumter County.

According to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the child was last seen in the area of the 800 block of North Old Wire Road in Wildwoon.

Investigators say she is four feet tall, weighing 45 pounds, wearing a white tee shirt with butterflies and tan capri pants.

Karmen Barfield may be in the company of Chance Barfield, a white male, 25 years old, five feet eight inches tall, 180 pounds, brown hair, blue eyes wearing a white tee shirt, blue or black ball cap, and blue jeans.

Authorities say they may be traveling in a blue F-150 Ford Pickup Truck, dual cab with loud exhaust, Florida tag number 8233HR.
