VIDEO: Tightrope walk over Sarasota

SARASOTA - SARASOTA --There was quite a sight in the skies of Sarasota this morning. A crowd gathered to watch daredevil Nik Wallenda walk a tightrope 200 feet up without a net.

The walk began at One Watergate Condominium and ended at the Ritz Carlton hotel. He stopped several times and took a knee on the rope. However, Wallenda eventually made the entire 600 foot walk.  It took him about ten minutes to complete.

This isn’t Wallenda’s first time doing something like this. Last year he completed 15 skywalks of 100 feet or more.

He’s using this walk as a way to promote his appearance with Circus Sarasota starting February 12.
