Sarasota deputies search for shooter

SARASOTA - Deputies are searching for the person who shot a man early Tuesday morning. Detectives say the man saw someone outside his home, went outside to investigate, and was shot.

The incident happened around 3:45 a.m. at a home in the 2200 block of Lockwood Lake Circle.

The victim, whose name hasn’t been released, was taken to Lakewood Ranch Medical Center. Doctors say he should be okay.
