BRADENTON - A Bradenton man who was Tasered by police died at the hospital before being taken to jail.
Police say they were trying to pull Derrick Humbert over early Monday morning, but he didn't stop.
Humbert eventually got out of his car and took off on foot through a neighborhood. An officer finally got close enough to Taser him in order to make the arrest.
The 35-year-old was sent to the hospital for evaluation before being booked, but ended up dying.
An autopsy report is being done to determine the cause of death.
Police say Humbert had an outstanding arrest warrant for
possession of marijuana.
