HAINES CITY - A big cleanup is going on in Polk county after a number of homes got clobbered by high winds.
Most of them were in the Grenelefe complex near Haines City.
At least six homes were destroyed and several other suffered heavy damage in a storm path officials say was nearly a mile long.
Polk County building officials spent the day going door to door to make sure dwellings were safe to live in.
Members of the Red Cross Disaster Relief team are also on scene assisting those whose homes were damaged.
