Polk man arrested on child porn charges

BARTOW - A Polk County man who told investigators he coaches children has been arrested and charged with possessing child porn.

Terry James Williamson, 53, was booked into the Polk County Jail on Thursday.

Investigators said they made contact with Williamson online, and came to the conclusion that he had a large child porn collection on his computer, and on numerous CDs.

Detectives say they searched his home, found the collection and arrested him.

Sheriff Grady Judd says what disturbs him the most is that Williamson claims he coaches baton twirling. Investigators say it's too early to say whether any kids were molested, but it's something detectives are looking into to.

"We hope that our worst fear doesn't turn out to be true -- that he was photographing the kids he was teaching to twirl," Judd said.

Willamson faces 75 counts of possessing child porn.
