LARGO - No grumpy faces in this class: these kids are having a blast in their physical education class at Walsingham Elementary School in Pinellas County.
And they are learning from the best of the best. Meet Dr. Robert Sinibaldi, in charge of P.E. At Walsingham for special needs children. And he's just been named P.E. Teacher of the Year for the entire country.
"You are kind of on cloud nine. You're kind of like, 'wow I won this,' and one of our P. E. teachers who presented me to the district say it's like winning the Super Bowl for me and it's a national award. It's as high as you can go. It's the ultimate peak of your career."
Dr. Sinibaldi has been working with kids with special needs for 30 years in Pinellas County schools -- some with minor disabilities, others with major impairment. But no matter what, he sets the kids up for success, and challenges them at the same time.
He can't imagine a better job.
"When you come to school and you know whatever you set up the kids are going to love doing it, and they appreciate you doing it for them. What a bonus to come to work like that everyday," Dr. Sinibaldi said.
You can tell, watching them interact, that the kids love Dr. Sinibaldi. How lucky they are to have a teacher like that, and now he's been judged the best in the country.
