LARGO - Pinellas County Court documents reveal a pattern of trouble and accusations of violence, leading up to a suspected murder suicide resulting in three deaths in Largo Monday.

In a petition for a restraining order dated March 18th, 21-year-old Tyler Newman told the court he feared for his life at the hands of his mother's ex-boyfriend, Michael Roberts. Newman wrote: "Mike Roberts pulled a black 38 gun on me. I was afraid he was going to kill me."

Deputies found Newman's body inside the home on Shadow Run Drive, along with Roberts and 16-year-old Taylor Reiterman. Newman's mother Sherry Hice was found shot. She was flown to Bayfront Medical Center.

Reiterman leaves behind a 2-year-old daughter and her husband, Steven Cavanaugh.

"I think it's pretty messed up that someone has to take their anger out on a 16 year old that didn't do nothing to them," Cavanaugh told FOX13. "She didn't have nothing to do with the problems that was over there. She had her own problems. Just because she was there she was shot because of somebody being stupid."

Cavanaugh says he and Reiterman were separated. The sheriff's office says Newman was her new boyfriend. Newman and his mother Sherry Hice moved into the house with Roberts, who owns it.

Neighbors knew there was trouble. "Don't know that much about them. Police have been here several times at the house so I try to stay away from that area," said Neighbor Sandra Viccio.

Hice called deputies to the house at least three times this month for disputes with Roberts. Most recently, Sunday night when Hice said Roberts was throwing her belongings out of the home. Hice recently had a temporary restraining order against Roberts. His attorney says just Thursday, a judge threw it out, as well as the restraining order request filed by her son.

"What they had alleged in the petition, they couldn't support in the actual hearing. In fact there was testimony that was given that ran contrary to what they had in the petition," said Attorney Jason Mayberry.

Mayberry says Roberts wanted Hice and her son out of the hosue for not paying rent.

Deputies found Hice shot, but alive. She was flown to Bayfront Medical Center. Her condition is unknown.

Detectives are still investigating. They have not named the shooter.

Roberts' dog was also shot and killed.
