CLEARWATER BEACH - Wrestling star Hulk Hogan is getting a lot of press for comments he made in a recent interview in which he indirectly discussed killing his wife -- comments he told FOX 13 were taken out of context.

Hogan, who's real name is Terry Bollea, said the Rolling Stone magazine writer spent three days interviewing him at the former wrestler's home on Clearwater Beach. The magazine says Hogan is so bitter he sounded homicidal, saying:

"I could have turned everything into a crime scene like O.J., cutting everybody's throat."

But Hogan insisted the quote was taken out of context.

"The writer asked me, 'Didn't you ever want to flip out, didn't you ever want to do the Hulk Hogan thing like in the ring,'" Hogan explained. "Of course, you know there's that male instinct that you'd love to get him in the ring. I could have even gone out and done like O.J. Simpson, but I chose not to. I chose to take the high road because I walk in the spirit of Christ. I'm positive, and I'm away from that whole negative marriage."

Hogan's wife's attorney says Linda cancelled her flight home to Clearwater and is in hiding. They're now considering legal action .

It's just the latest twist in what's become a very public family drama . Last month, the Hogans' divorce hearing ended in a near smack-down .

Last fall, his wife's 19-year-old boyfriend, Charley Hill, asked for a restraining order against Hogan, but the judge threw it out.

Rolling Stone says Hogan refers to Hill as "some shaggy-haired pool boy 30 years her junior."

"She's giving him all the spoils that a kid would have with boats and cars and all of this stuff," offered Harvey Levin of TMZ.com. "And you look at Hulk and he's with somebody that looks almost identical to his daughter and could be his daughter. It's all just weird."

For his part, Hogan says Linda doesn't have to worry about him -- at least, outside the courtroom.

"I don't think I'm a dangerous guy. If I haven't attacked the whole world by now, I'm not going to," he said. "I'm not the guy that the out-of-context quite was saying I am.

"The only person I scare is myself when I look at myself in the mirror in the morning."
