CLEARWATER - It's supposed to be a civil court, but it was far from it Thursday.
A heated exchange between Terry Bollea, also known as Hulk Hogan, and his wife's lawyer broke out after court proceedings were over.
Bollea was in court asking a judge to grant him access to more of his own money. Right now, the family's fortune, which is close to $10 million, is frozen because of divorce proceedings.
Linda Hogan claims her husband is wasting what could be her money. She says he spends $13,000 a month on limousines when they own ten cars.
"I think it's very hard to argue about being responsible, when
you're not being responsible," said attorney Ray Rafool.
WATCH FULL CONFRONTATION:
Bollea asked a judge to give him an allowance of
$300,000 a month, saying he needs the money to pay taxes, legal
fees, and $40,000 a month in alimony.
"If that same amount of money is being spent, there would be absolutely zero left in the bank about 13 to14 months from now. So, basically to get divorced, and get through this whole situation, there will be no money left the way it's going," said Mr. Bollea.
However, Linda and her lawyers simply aren't buying it.
"I think he's a liar," said Rafool.
In the end, Judge Greer sided with Mr. Hogan, granting him $225,000 dollars a month for the next three months.
When the judge left the courtroom, the shouting began.
The fight started over John Graziano, the marine injured in a car crash involving the Hogan's son Nick. Mr. Hogan says his wife is trying to stiff Graziano's family. Mrs. Hogan says her husband is hiding money.
Either way, that lawsuit will cost them millions. The family has already paid more than $2 million for lawyers.
The back and forth is likely to continue in the months ahead, as the Hogan's divorce is scheduled to go to trial in October, at the earliest.
