Police: prostitution sting nets 12

    CLEARWATER - Clearwater police have arrested 12 people on prostitution charges during a sting operation.

    Officers say they conducted the sting in numerous locations in the East Gateway area in an effort to reduce prostitution activity.

    Police arrested 44-year-old Toni Vinci, 42-year-old Stephanie Blanton, and 31-year-old Jovanny Perez on felony solicitation of prostitution charges.

    Eight other women and one man were arrested on misdemeanor solicitation charges. Two of those women were also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
